Ms. Goodheart joined Fitch Law Partners LLP in 2023, after 18 years as a partner at the Boston litigation firm of Sugarman, Rogers, Barshak & Cohen, P.C. She represents private and public sector clients in contested matters before state and federal administrative agencies and in state and federal courts at both the trial and appellate levels. She also represents clients in alternative dispute resolution proceedings and regulatory compliance negotiations. 

Ms. Goodheart's clients include owners and operators of commercial, industrial, and residential properties; real estate developers; state and municipal government bodies; nonprofit organizations; and citizen groups. Pro bono work, especially concerning environmental justice issues, is an integral part of her practice. She also takes on leadership roles to improve the justice system, particularly in the Massachusetts state courts. Presently, she serves as co-chair of the Racial Equity and Justice Committee of the Massachusetts Access to Justice Commission, to which she was appointed by the Supreme Judicial Court.  She is a former Chair of the Massachusetts Judicial Nominating Commission and the Court Management Advisory Board, and she has served as President of both the Boston Bar Association and the Boston Bar Foundation.

Ms. Goodheart has received several awards and distinctions in her career, including the Lelia J. Robinson Award from the Women's Bar Association of Massachusetts, the Leadership Award from CREW Boston, and the Environmental Justice Award from Alternatives for Community and Environment. She has been recognized as a Top Women of Law Honoree by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly and has achieved Band 1 rankings in Chambers USA for both environmental law and litigation. 

Furthermore, Best Lawyers in America has named Ms. Goodheart a Massachusetts Lawyer of the Year in environmental law and litigation, and she has been listed in the Lawdragon 500 Leading U.S. Environmental and Energy Lawyers.
