Robert M. Higgins

A personal injury attorney and partner at Lubin & Meyer PC, Robert M. Higgins represents clients in Massachusetts in matters of personal injury with a focus on catastrophic personal injury law and medical malpractice. In a case of brain damage caused at birth, Mr. Higgins earned the largest medical malpractice award in the state with compensation of $40 million.  Other significant successful case results include verdicts of almost $19.8, $29.8 and $13 million for failure to diagnose, another case of brain injury during delivery and wrongful death.

Mr. Higgins graduated from the University of Maine in 1991 before earning his Juris Doctor in 1994 from Suffolk University Law School. A frequent commentator for local news stations, he also guest lectures frequently at Suffolk University Law School, Massachusetts Academy of Trial Attorneys and the Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education organization.

A member of the Massachusetts Academy of Trial Attorneys, the Boston Bar Association and the Massachusetts Bar Association, Mr. Higgins is licensed to practice in all state and federal courts throughout the state of Massachusetts. In 2015, he was named Lawyer of the Year for the region, and for his commitment to legal ethics and professional accomplishments, he earned the highest peer review rating possible of AV Preeminent* from Martindale-Hubbell.

Serving a six-year term on Boston College High School’s Board of Trustees, he demonstrates his passion for being involved in the community. Mr. Higgins is interested in the advancement of research into Muscular Dystrophy and is a member of the board for the Jett Foundation.
