Syrie Davis Fried

A tenacious criminal defense attorney practicing in Massachusetts for the past 40 years, Syrie Davis Fried is a partner at Good Schneider Cormier & Fried. With the law firm’s office in Boston, she has represented her clients before several courts in the states of Massachusetts, Florida and the District of Columbia as well, and has secured wins in various criminal cases involving murder, robbery, rape, gun possession, drug distribution and white collar crimes.

Before entering private practice, Ms. Fried was a well-known public defender and spent more than a decade as a federal public defender in Boston and Washington, D.C. During her days as a public defender, she has advocated for and represented dozens of clients charged with forgery, theft of government property, securities fraud, and bank fraud and counterfeiting.

Throughout her career, Ms. Fried has firmly held the belief that everyone is innocent until they are proven guilty of the act. With a bachelor's degree from Wellesley College, Ms. Fried obtained her Juris Doctor from Harvard Law School in 1981. She was first admitted to practice law in Florida in 1982, and a couple of years later in Massachusetts.
