Susan Rossi Cook

A solo practitioner, Susan Rossi Cook is the founder of the law firm, Susan Rossi Cook, Attorney and Mediator. As the name of her firm implies, she is trained in mediation, and that often allows her to help her clients resolve issues without having to go through lengthy and contentious litigation. Ms. Cook is located in Franklin, Massachusetts, and she assists clients throughout Norfolk County. She has been admitted to practice in Massachusetts since 2002, and she is additionally admitted to practice in Rhode Island and before the Supreme Court of the United States.

Ms. Cook attended the University of Rhode Island, where she majored in pharmacy and received a Bachelor of Science degree with high distinction in 1983. After she graduated, she worked as a pharmacist for many years before enrolling at the Roger Williams University School of Law. In 2001, she was awarded her Juris Doctor degree cum laude. Prior to entering the private practice of law, Ms. Cook served a clerkship for a judge on the Massachusetts Probate and Family Court, and she spent several years teaching pharmacy law and ethics at her college alma mater.

Ms. Cook’s primary focus is on family law along with estate planning and administration, although she continues to handle pharmacy law-related matters. Her family law practice largely involves divorce and its related legal issues of parenting time, property division, alimony and child support. In addition to her mediation and litigation experience, Ms. Cook is also trained in collaborative law, which is another method of resolving these issues outside of the courtroom. In her estate planning and administration practice, she prepares and reviews wills, trusts and other related documents and guides clients through the probate process. She also handles guardianship and conservatorship proceedings.
