Jeffery A. Tocchio

Jeffery A. Tocchio is an experienced attorney with DTM Law, P.C., in Hingham, Massachusetts, concentrating his practice in real estate, eminent domain, and land use and zoning law. He brings substantial experience in project entitlement, permitting and licensing, guiding clients through regulatory processes and complex approvals. 

Mr. Tocchio’s practice encompasses a broad spectrum of development initiatives, including mixed‑use and lifestyle centers, food and beverage operations, sports and hospitality facilities, industrial and waterfront projects, educational and senior living developments, and comprehensive permit matters.

An academic scholar, Mr. Tocchio received a B.S. in Finance from the University of Massachusetts in 1985 and earned his J.D. from Suffolk University Law School in 1988, where he served as an editor of the Suffolk University Law Review. He was admitted to the bar in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in 1988 and is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 1st Circuit.

In addition to his legal practice, Mr. Tocchio is active in the regional business and professional community. He serves on the board of directors of the South Shore Chamber of Commerce and has held the position of Chairman of the Hingham Business Council. He holds Right of Way Appraisal Certification from the Federal Highway Administration and is a member of the Urban Land Institute. 

Furthermore, Mr. Tocchio is a co‑author of the Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) text "Eminent Domain Law in Massachusetts" (2012), reflecting his recognized expertise in condemnation and public‑right‑of‑way matters.
