Zoila M. Gomez

Zoila M. Gomez is an immigration attorney and managing partner at Gomez & Palumbo, LLC, in Lawrence, Massachusetts. Ms. Gomez has over 15 years of legal experience and exclusively practices immigration law, serving clients throughout Essex and Middlesex counties. She is passionate about helping her clients, understanding the challenges they face and guiding them through the complexities of the immigration process. 

Active in her community, Ms. Gomez is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and the Dominican American National Roundtable. She serves as commissioner of the Massachusetts Judicial Nominating Commission and sits on the Board of Directors of the Youth Development Organization and the Board of Trustees of Lawrence Evangelical Church.

Ms. Gomez has also served in leadership positions for the Lawrence Family Development Charter School and the University of Massachusetts. She is also a former member of the City of Lawrence Planning Board.

Dedicated to educating the community, Ms. Gomez participates in a weekly radio show on immigration law. She also serves as a professor of immigration law and policy at her alma mater, Northern Essex Community College. 

Born in the Dominican Republic, Ms. Gomez came to the United States when she was 18 years old. She earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Massachusetts at Lowell in 2000. She went on to graduate from the Massachusetts School of Law Andover in 2005. Additionally, she holds English as a second language and paralegal degrees from Northern Essex Community College. She holds a license to practice law before all Massachusetts state courts.
