Anthony Tarricone

Anthony Tarricone is the first American to be elected to the Pan European Organisation of Personal Injury Lawyers (PEOPIL) Board of Directors. This recognition follows his appointment to the Plaintiffs' Executive Committee for the Ethiopian Airlines Flight 302 Boeing 737 MAX investigation against Boeing and other defendants in which Anthony has overseen the representation of European clients from Italy, the UK, France and Belgium.  Anthony has been appointed to the Plaintiffs’ Steering Committee for the litigation resulting from the January 2025 midair collision over the Potomac River between an Army helicopter and American Eagle flight 5342. Kreindler & Kreindler represents 34 victims from that tragic incident. He is currently overseeing the prosecution of civil cases arising from the death of an American in a maritime accident on the Amalfi Coast of Italy. Anthony is on Kreindler's team representing almost half of the victims of the Washington D.C. midair collision in January 2025. 

Anthony's esteemed professional history includes serving as president of both the American Association for Justice (AAJ) and MATA - Massachusetts Academy of Trial Attorneys. He has over 30 years of experience representing families who have suffered the emotional and financial devastation that results from the unexpected death or injury of a spouse, child, parent or loved one. Anthony's proven record of successful litigation in wrongful death and catastrophic injury cases involving aircraft accidents and disasters, defective products, medical negligence, cross-border, travel and tourism accidents and other complex cases further attests to his dedication to providing hope and closure for victims and their families. 

Anthony represented the families of three students who lost their lives in the crash of Asiana Flight 214 in San Francisco and is also representing a young professional pianist who was seriously injured when large sections a one-story building facade collapsed, burying her under chunks of concrete. Mr. Tarricone settled a well-publicized civil rights case against the Town of Framingham, MA, and one of its police officers on behalf of the family of Eurie Stamps. Mr. Stamps, complying with officers, was lying on his stomach on the floor in his home with his hands above his head during the process of a search warrant that was being served on his son. An officer accidentally shot and killed Mr. Stamps while he was complying with instructions.

Anthony has played a significant role in toxic and environmental litigation, too. For the litigation against BP following the Deepwater Horizon oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico in 2010, Anthony was appointed Committee Coordinator of the Media/PR Committee that was an integral part of the litigation. He was later appointed Committee Chair of the Media/PR Committee in the NFL Concussion Litigation, which played a significant role in reaching a multi-billion dollar settlement with the NFL by informing the public about the dangers of traumatic brain injuries in football players and other athletes. This effort also led to the introduction of concussion protocols in the NFL, collegiate and high-school sports.

Tarricone's practice includes representing victims seriously injured or killed in cross-border and travel and tourism cases both in the United States and abroad. Anthony's experience representing tourists and visitors with legal claims includes a wrongful death claim involving a high school student killed during a snorkeling trip in Cancun, Mexico. He has also settled a recent case involving a college student seriously injured while on a catamaran during a “Spring Break” Student City organized tour in the Dominican Republic.

Anthony attended Suffolk University Law School, where he served as Note Editor of the Law Review and graduated first in his class. After graduation, he served as Law Clerk to the Justices of the Superior Court before entering private practice. Before joining Kreindler, Anthony was a founding law firm partner of Sarrouf, Tarricone & Flemming where he headed the firm's aviation practice, handling a broad spectrum of cases from air carrier disasters to general aviation accidents in claims against air carriers, manufacturers of aircraft and components, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), aircraft repair stations and operators of charter and rental aircraft.

Anthony has long been a vocal advocate for individuals who have suffered harm because of the negligence and wrongful conduct of corporate and governmental interests. Through his extensive work in state and national trial lawyer organizations, Anthony has fought to ensure that individuals have meaningful legal remedies and access to justice in state and federal courts throughout the nation. He has served for many years as a member of the Board of Governors and Executive Committee of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America (recently renamed the American Association for Justice) which is the largest association of civil trial attorneys in the world. For the past several years, Anthony has been elected as a national officer of the Association, most recently serving as President. He has also served as President of the Massachusetts Academy of Trial Attorneys where he continues to serve as a Governor and member of the Executive Committee. 

Anthony is active in the international legal association PEOPIL (Pan European Organization of Personal Injury Law) and a frequent speaker within the legal industry on the intricacies of international litigation. Anthony is a member of the National Transportation Safety Board Bar Association and the Lawyer-Pilots Bar Association. He is a frequent lecturer and writer for Bar Associations and Professional Associations.
