Details
With experience working with district attorneys and state attorney generals, Jamie H. Gorton represents clients in legal issues of immigration law in Malden and Boston, Massachusetts, and all the surrounding towns. He takes pride in his ability to stay on top of new legal strategies, provide clients with individualized solutions rather than a cookie-cutter approach and provide clients with fresh insight into old problems.
At Saint Michael’s College, Mr. Gorton graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor’s degree and a major in English. As a member of the American Constitution Society, he then earned a Juris Doctor from Boston University School of Law. Now he handles legal issues related to visas, deportation defense, U visas, citizenship, ICE custody release, green cards, asylum, employment-based immigration, family immigration and appeals.
Mr. Gorton is a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association, the American Bar Association and the American Immigration Lawyers Association. Admitted to practice in Massachusetts since 2013, he gives back to his community with his involvement as a board member and vice president of the First Parish in Malden Universalist. Along with immigration law, he also devotes a small portion of his practice to family law, business law, DUI/DWI and criminal defense.
After working for years in courtrooms and gaining experience in immigration law, Mr. Gorton has the skills and resources needed to help young families and individuals as they navigate the complicated immigration system. Passionate and dedicated to his clients, he takes real-life experience and turns it into practical applications that improve his services.
