Elisa A. Filman

Managing and founding partner of Rodman Employment Law, Elisa A. Filman represents clients in Massachusetts with a focus on the Boston metropolitan area. In both federal and state claims, she handles employment issues related to wrongful termination; wage and hour laws; whistleblower laws; family leave statutes such as FMLA; and discrimination claims. Ms. Filman works with the parties from the beginning to the end of employment relationships.

Throughout her career, Ms. Filman has represented both individual and corporate clients. She has a deep understanding of the small and large disputes that often arise in a working and employment relationship. As a trusted and experienced adviser, she represents entities in all dispute resolution stages. These may include the following: contractual disputes; misrepresentation and fraud; negotiation and mediation; administrative and court proceedings; and initial consultation.

Ms. Filman obtained a Bachelor of Arts in history from Scripps College before attending law school. She then earned her Juris Doctor from Suffolk University Law School and has almost a decade of experience in employment litigation. For corporate clients, she also reviews employee handbooks to help companies become compliant with state, federal and local employment laws.

Unequal pay and discrimination are two problems that Ms. Filman has regularly run across in her career, and she understands how complicated a working relationship can be.
