No stranger to complex estate litigation, Mr. Diamond has conducted undercover work for his clients, and he has served as a securities fraud Investigator for the Massachusetts Securities Division as well as a Federal Investigator for bank fraud for the FDIC. He has also represented families victimized by the terrorist attacks of 9/11, and he has prosecuted and defended a number of multimillion-dollar claims involving shareholder disputes, will contests, broker dealer investigations and more. Mr. Diamond was a part of the Mass. Court's Task Force which established a specialized court for "Fiduciary Litigation" (aka: Will and Trust Litigation) called the Fiduciary Litigation Section Court as part of the Mass. Family and Probate Court. This is the best forum for sophisticated fiduciary litigation. Mr. Diamond has most of his cases in the forum.
As an estate planning attorney, Mr. Diamond has helped countless clients establish their final wishes while assisting them with creating a lasting legacy for their heirs and loved ones. A leader in his field, he has several publications to his credit, and he has conducted lectures and continuing legal education seminars across his region on a variety of legal topics related to estate planning, exploitation of the elderly, tax matters, SEC claims and other subjects.
As further evidence of his leadership skills, Mr. Diamond has served on the executive management board and finance committee of the Massachusetts Bar Association, where he is also a member of the House of Delegates, the Deficit Reduction Sub-Committee and the organization's Taxation Law and Probate Law Section Councils. He was a fellow with the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants, and a member of the Public Investors Arbitration Bar Association.
A graduate of Stonehill College with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a licensed CPA, Mr. Diamond obtained his Juris Doctor from New England Law | Boston in 1992. He is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts as well as the U.S. Tax Court. A selfless attorney known for his pro bono work, he received the Massachusetts Bar Association's Volunteer of the Year Award for his contributions to the organization's Centennial Fundraising committee, where he acquired significant sponsorships for the association's centennial celebration.
