Erin L. Nunes, is a partner at Surprenant, Beneski & Nunes, P.C., which has offices in New Bedford, Easton & Hyannis. Erin embarked on her journey with the firm in 2004. Initially serving as a case manager for over a decade, she eventually transitioned into the role of an attorney. Her unwavering commitment and leadership shine brightly in estate planning, wills, trusts, probate, special needs and disability planning, tax strategies, asset protection, business succession, charitable contributions, Medicaid planning, health care power of attorney and elder law. 

Leading the firm's Medicaid Planning team, Ms. Nunes skillfully steers families through the complex world of Medicaid/MassHealth eligibility with empathy and clarity. With a heartfelt dedication to assisting the elderly, she offers a compassionate touch that aids older clients and their families in tackling the financial and legal hurdles of long-term care. Over two decades, she has helped numerous clients attain MassHealth eligibility. Her work not only protects assets from the high costs of long-term care but also ensures a seamless passage of inheritance to future generations.

Ms. Nunes’ academic journey took her to the University of Massachusetts School of Law – Dartmouth, where she earned her Juris Doctor magna cum laude. She was licensed in Massachusetts in 2014 and is an active member of the Massachusetts Bar Association, the Massachusetts chapter of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, WealthCounsel and the Massachusetts Forum of Estate Planning Attorneys. Additionally, she contributes her skills to the Human Rights Committee of Comprehensive Health Systems in Dartmouth. Rated as "Very Good" on Avvo, she was celebrated as one of the Top Women Lawyers by Boston Magazine in 2018 and 2019.
