Maureen E. Booth

A partner at Turco Legal, P.C., based in Newburyport, Massachusetts, Maureen E. Booth offers strategic legal representation to clients navigating complex domestic relations matters. With a practice centered on family law, she is a dedicated litigator who advocates for individuals facing challenging transitions.

Ms. Booth is highly experienced in high-stakes divorce and child custody cases, as well as child support, alimony, modifications and contempt proceedings. Beyond traditional litigation, she holds a specialized certification as a Category F guardian ad litem for the Massachusetts Trial Court, allowing her to serve as an independent evaluator in critical custody and welfare matters. Additionally, she is a Certified Financial Litigator through the American Academy for Certified Financial Litigators, a designation that reflects her advanced skill in handling intricate financial disputes and asset division.

Over her career, Ms. Booth has developed a reputation for thorough preparation and tailored advocacy. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Webster University in 1987. She later attended New England Law | Boston, earning her Juris Doctor cum laude in 2004. During law school, she developed the foundational legal knowledge and courtroom skills that continue to inform her practice today.

Licensed to practice law in Massachusetts since 2005, Ms. Booth is deeply involved in the local and state legal communities. She currently serves as the vice president of the Greater Newburyport Bar Association, having previously served as a board member since 2022. 

Ms. Booth is also an active member of the Massachusetts Bar Association, where she contributes to the Lawyer Well-Being Committee, as well as the Essex County Bar Association, the Middlesex Women’s Bar Association and the Massachusetts Association of Guardians ad Litem. Demonstrating her commitment to supporting her peers, she also serves as a volunteer for Lawyers Concerned for Lawyers.
