Attorney Nancy Baskin brings over 35 years of experience in family law at Baskin Kershner & Thorp, LLC, Newton, Massachusetts, to her clients' cases. She practices law across the state, concentrating on all aspects of family law.
Ms. Baskin graduated cum laude from Dartmouth College in 1981. She gained invaluable experience working for the United States Senate before attending New York University (NYU) School of Law, where she earned her J.D. in 1985. During her time at NYU, she contributed to the New York University Law Review as both a member of the editorial staff and as an editor.
After practicing commercial real estate law in Manhattan, Ms. Baskin shifted her focus to domestic relations law in 1988. She honed her skills at the renowned Manhattan firm before relocating to Boston in 1993. There, she continued to build her reputation at a respected domestic relations firm. In 2001, she opened her own practice in Boston, which has since expanded to include four attorneys dedicated to family law. She is highly regarded in her field and has been appointed by the Massachusetts Probate and Family Court as a discovery master and guardian ad litem.
Ms. Baskin is committed to community service, volunteering for the Probate and Family Court Lawyer for the Day program. She is trained in collaborative law, and adept in both litigation and mediation, often serving as a mediator and conciliator in divorce cases. She has been peer-review rated Distinguished* through Martindale-Hubbell and rated “Excellent” on Avvo.
