Morgan J. Gray is the founder and principal attorney of the Law Offices of Morgan J. Gray, P.C., located in Quincy, Massachusetts. Attorney Gray brings over thirty (30) years of experience spanning multiple practice areas to bear on an array of matters primarily concerning the representation injured workers. His office handles workers' compensation cases throughout Massachusetts, as we as Social Security Disability cases nationally. He also represents state, county and municipal employees, as well as police officers, firefighters, and other public safety personnel who suffer an injury at work or in the line of duty and/or are seeking disability retirement benefits. He has enjoyed great success on the other side of the docket, defending uninsured employers before the Massachusetts Department of Industrial Accidents.
The remainder of his practice is dedicated to taking on the complex matters of injured longshoreman, seamen and other maritime personnel nationwide as well as overseas. Certified as a Proctor in Admiralty by the Maritime Law Association of the United States since 2010, he is highly regarded for his knowledge of maritime laws, including the Jones Act, the Longshore and Harbor Workers' Compensation Act, the Non-Appropriated Fund Instrumentalities Act, and the Defense Base Act, all of which were created to ensure that injured maritime personnel receive the monetary and medical benefits to which they are entitled in the event of a workplace injury.
Mr. Gray is a graduate of Saint Michael's College and attended Suffolk University Law School, achieving dean's list honors and earning his law degree in 1991. Prior to founding his firm in 1996, he worked as an associate attorney for two Massachusetts firms and presided over evidentiary hearings for the Boston Retirement Board.
A frequent speaker on maritime law and workers' compensation topics at continuing legal education seminars, conventions and insurance seminars, Mr. Gray is a fellow of the Massachusetts Bar Foundation and who currently serves in the House of Delegates of the Massachusetts Bar Association (MBA). In 2020 he was selected and served on the MBA Executive Nominating Committee. In 2021 he was selected to serve on the MBA Joint Bar Committee on Judicial Appointments and in 2021 he was selected as a Hearing Officer for the Massachusetts Board of Bar Overseers. Attorney Gray currently serves as a Council Member for the Bar Association of Norfolk County. He has been recognized by the Workers' Injury Law & Advocacy Group as one of the nation's leading workers' compensation attorneys. He has also served on the Advisory Board of the Salvation Army of Quincy since 2012 and is an active member of the Quincy Chamber of Commerce.
