Deborah M. Faenza

A partner at Ryan Faenza Carey, P.C., Deborah M. Faenza focuses her practice exclusively on family law matters. The firm is based in Walpole, Massachusetts, and she represents clients in the greater Boston metropolitan area and throughout the eastern part of the Commonwealth. As an undergraduate, Ms. Faenza attended what was then known as Boston State College and received a Bachelor of Science in 1976. Some years later and determined to pursue a legal education, she enrolled at what is now called New England Law | Boston, and in 1993, she was awarded her Juris Doctor.

Between college and law school, Ms. Faenza spent several years as a social and family services officer at the Norfolk Probate and Family Court, where she handled custody and other domestic relations disputes. After her law school graduation, she joined the predecessor of her firm. Ms. Faenza is admitted to practice in Massachusetts and before the Supreme Court of the United States.

Ms. Faenza’s family law practice encompasses a variety of matters. A significant portion of it is devoted to her representation of people whose marriages are coming to an end, and she uses her experience in mediation and collaborative law to help them come to an accord on child custody and visitation, spousal and child support, and the division of marital property. When litigation proves to be necessary, however, Ms. Faenza aggressively advocates on their behalf in family court.

Ms. Faenza’s caseload has additionally included support and parenting order modifications and enforcement, the representation of victims of domestic violence, and the preparation and review of prenuptial agreements. Her professional memberships include the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals and the Massachusetts Bar Association.
