Jeffrey S. Follett

Jeffrey S. Follett established The Law Office of Jeffrey S. Follett in Watertown, Massachusetts, to offer committed and top-notch business and commercial litigation services to clients in Suffolk and Middlesex counties and across the nation. Assisting clients in accomplishing vast projects, navigating complex transactions and resolving significant commercial disputes are some of his focus areas. With more than 25 years of experience, Mr. Follett has skillfully handled both the prosecution and defense of claims arising from various commercial agreements. These include shareholder agreements, purchase orders, employee handbooks, construction contracts, insurance policies, software development contracts and professional services agreements.

In Mr. Follett’s role as an outside general counsel, he provides vital legal and strategic guidance to small and mid-sized businesses. In addition, he conducts training sessions for the leadership and staff on legal compliance, contract review and shareholder orientation. He has led numerous initiatives for a prominent public transportation agency and has successfully resolved claims worth millions of dollars associated with a modern art museum project. Additionally, he has collaborated directly with the board of a prominent Brazilian energy corporation.

Mr. Follett graduated with his bachelor’s degree with departmental honors and distinction from Stanford University, where he served as a Martin Luther King, Jr. Papers Project researcher. In 1993, he received his Juris Doctor cum laude from Harvard Law School. He obtained his license to practice in Massachusetts, New York and New Hampshire. Soon after law school, he served as a law clerk at the Massachusetts Appeals Court in Boston.
