Denise Yurkofsky is a graduate of New York University School of Law, where she was awarded the Judge Edelstein Fellowship. She received her undergraduate degree from Smith College and studied in France for one year as recipient of a Rotary International Undergraduate Fellowship. She has done graduate work in estate planning and estate and gift tax at Boston University Law School. She is admitted to the Massachusetts Bar.
Attorney Yurkofsky’s practice is concentrated primarily in the areas of estate planning, including planning for family members with special needs, elder law, probate and trust administration. She is also a member of the Boston Estate Planning Council, the Massachusetts Bar Association and the Boston Estate Planning and Probate Forum.
Attorney Yurkofsky is active in the community and serves on the Board of Directors of the Wayland Council on Aging and served for six years on the Board of Directors of the Price Center, a Newton based human services agency which provides clinical, therapeutic and support services to individuals and families managing a wide spectrum of physical and cognitive disabilities. She is also a founder of the Friends of the Wayland Council on Aging, Inc. and served on its Board of Directors for many years. She received the Council on Aging 2010 Award for Community Service from Baypath Elder Services, Inc. and a Certificate of Recognition from the Sudbury Senior Center for her volunteer work there.
