After graduating magna cum laude with his Bachelor of Arts degree from Boston College, Mr. Bassett obtained his Juris Doctor degree from Boston College Law School. He became licensed to practice in Massachusetts in 1977.

  • Confidential Settlement. $2.7 million structured settlement ($1 million policy).  Although plaintiff had blood alcohol level of .20, plaintiffs recovered policy limits when plaintiff’s vehicle rear-ended defendant’s flatbed truck.  Truck was driving below minimum speed limit and the rear lights were not working
  • Confidential Settlement. $2 million policy to compensate elderly couple struck by Canadian tractor trailer – Driver arrested for “operating with falsified log book.”  Case settled after presentation of Day in the Life video and video re-enactment of the accident
  • Bloniaz v. Phelan – Worcester Superior Court enters judgment of $22.7 million for traumatic brain injury caused by drunk driver.  It was reported that this is the largest judgment ever in Worcester County in a personal injury case
