Victoria S. Miranda

Victoria Miranda is an attorney at the law firm of Callahan | Barraco in Massachusetts. Ms. Miranda concentrates her practice on issues related to family law, including divorce, child custody, paternity and alimony. She represents clients throughout Massachusetts.

A cum laude graduate of Howard University in Washington, D.C., Ms. Miranda went on to earn her law degree at Temple University Beasley School of Law in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. 

Before entering private practice, Ms. Miranda served as an assistant district attorney for Suffolk County, Massachusetts. In that role, she spent a substantial amount of time in court and gained extensive trial experience. She also worked on a wide variety of legal issues, including criminal law, immigration, guardianships, conservatorships and civil commitments. She served as an associate attorney at another Massachusetts law firm for more than a year before joining Callahan | Barraco.

Ms. Miranda is a member of the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe, which has resided for thousands of years in the areas now known as Massachusetts and Rhode Island. She is a strong supporter of restorative justice, a process designed to involve crime victims and others who have a stake in the matter, and to bring about community healing as a necessary part of the resolution of a criminal case. She serves on the board of directors for the Boston Municipal Court, Roxbury Division, program CHOICE, which is designed to reduce recidivism among young offenders. Among other things, the program provides intensive probation supervision, educational support and job training. It also provides young people with meals on days they are required to appear in court.
