After graduating with a bachelor’s degree from Brandeis University in 1988, Ms. Black joined Suffolk University Law School in Boston, Massachusetts, to understand the workings of the law. She graduated from law school with a Juris Doctor in 1992 and, in the same year, earned her license to practice in Massachusetts. She is further admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts and gained the license to practice in New Hampshire in 2010.
In the legal community, Ms. Black is active through memberships with the Massachusetts Family and Probate American Inns of Court and the Women’s Bar Association of Massachusetts. She is also part of the Big Sister Association of Greater Boston, where she works toward supporting girls’ healthy development through mentoring and enrichment programs. Additionally, she served as a mock trial judge for the annual statewide high school mock trial competition hosted by the Massachusetts Bar Association.
