Mr. Karr has been admitted to practice since 2008.
In his estate planning practice, Mr. Karr regularly prepares and reviews wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, financial and health care powers of attorney, and advance medical directives. He designs each plan in accordance with the needs and objectives of the client, often with an aim towards avoiding what is often a lengthy and costly probate process and reducing estate tax exposure. He then works with them on such issues as Medicaid planning, helping to protect their assets through strategies such as irrevocable trusts, unnuities and strategic gifts. The high quality of his work in all of these endeavors has earned Mr. Karr a great deal of recognition from his fellow attorneys, including a 10.0 "Superb" peer review rating through Avvo.
Mr. Karr is a member of several professional groups that are related to his practice area, including the Life Care Planning Law Firms Association and the Essex County Estate Planning Council. He is a 2008 graduate of Boston College Law School.
