John K. McGuire, Jr.

     John K. McGuire, Jr., is an accomplished attorney with over 40 years of experience. As managing partner of McGuire & McGuire, P.C., in Worcester, Massachusetts, Mr. McGuire practices in the areas of workers’ compensation, Social Security Disability Insurance and personal injury. For many years, he has represented clients across the Commonwealth.

     His firm was established by Jack and Joe McGuire, his father and uncle.  Joe McGuire served two terms as commissioner on the Industrial Accident Board leading to the decision for the firm to concentrate in that area.  Therefore, Mr. McGuire literally grew up with this law.  He has tried to maintain the family orientation of the firm and with many of the employees being longterm gaining years of experience.  Mr. McGuire and his partners regularly appear before the Massachusetts Department of Industrial Accidents, the Social Security Administration and the various Retirement Boards throughout Massachusetts.     

     Mr. McGuire is committed to providing exceptional legal service to his clients, working hard on their behalf to achieve their legal goals. He is dedicated to helping individuals injured due to negligence or who are seeking to obtain Social Security Disability or workers’ compensation benefits.  Over the course of his career, Mr. McGuire has litigated a wide variety of complex matters, with a record of success reaching settlements and verdicts that were good for his clients. He has represented individuals, organizations and labor unions, including the United Steelworkers.  An active member of his local legal community, Mr. McGuire has been a member of the Worcester County Bar Association for 40 years. He has also served as a professor at the former Central New England College, where he taught business law. He is the principle partner in McGuire & McGuire, P.C., a firm that concentrates in Workers' Compensation, Social Security Disability, Accidental Disability Retirement and Civil cases.  He is a present member and former chairman of the Worcester County Bar Association Workers' Compensation Committee.

     Mr. McGuire earned a bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University and received his law degree from Suffolk University Law School. Following law school graduation, he passed the Massachusetts bar examination and received his license to practice law. He is qualified to appear before all Massachusetts state courts,  the Federal District Court of Massachusetts and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 1st Circuit.
