Joseph Michaels

Mr. Michaels earned his bachelor’s degree in labor studies and economics cum laude from Wayne State University and went on to study law at the University of Michigan Law School. While there, he served as the editor of the Michigan Law Review and was honored with the ABA/BNA award for excellence in the study of labor law. Earning his law degree magna cum laude in 2014, he was licensed to practice the same year in Michigan and later in the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Michigan (2015).

He helps employees with legal matters involving contracts, negotiation and union administration. Moreover, he prosecutes MERC proceedings and grievance arbitrations for union members.
