After graduating in 2000, she started her career as a defense attorney, then a prosecutor in Wayne County, then a prosecutor in Macomb County, and now back to private practice as a defense attorney focused solely on sex crimes, computer crimes and criminal sexual conduct cases. Verdicts / Settlements (Case Results)

  • The client was charged with 1 count of Criminal Sexual Conduct in the Third Degree; contrary to MCL 750.520(d), and three counts of Criminal Sexual Conduct in the Fourth Degree; contrary to MCL 750.520(e). The client and the victim were Best Friends. After years of having feelings for each other, the client expressed his true feelings for her. The victim was very receptive. They ended up making out (kissing) and fell asleep together. The next morning, the victim went to her on-and-off again boyfriend and claimed she had been raped. We went to a jury trial. The client was found Not Guilty. , 2023
  • Client charged with Aggravated Indecent Exposure. This carries penalties much worse than regular Indecent Exposure. The client was accused of touching himself and fondling his private area inside a large department store. After numerous discussions with the prosecutor, we were able to achieve a lower charge and an under advisement sentence.  , 2025
  • Client was charged with 2 counts of Criminal Sexual Conduct Third Degree (force or coercion). The complainant was his ex-wife. Although they were married at the time, she claimed he raped her. There was a very ugly divorce going on at the time of this case. The complainant was very bitter towards our client. When evidence was found that the complainant agreed to something in the divorce, yet used it as ammunition in the criminal case, we brought all of this to light and showed the prosecution. Our months of consistently trying to get to the bottom of the truth paid off. The client ultimately pled to 2 misdemeanors for some damage, pictures to prove, that was done to her vehicle. , 2025
  • Client was charged with Criminal Sexual Conduct in the 4th Degree. He swore the allegations were made-up.  Client took a lie detector test and passed. The prosecution did not give it any weight. They insisted their complainant was telling the truth. We went to Jury trial on a "He said - She said." The verdict was a hung jury. The prosecution was ready to try the case again. We were able to convince the prosecution that this type of case will always be a hung jury because some people believe very strongly a complaint  would not go to trial if it wasn't true. Just like, others were not going to believe her because we had a lot of damaging evidence against her. Ultimately, the prosecution decided not to move forward with a second jury trial.   , 2025
  • A school teacher was charged with numerous Criminal Sexual Conduct charges made by his own children. Prior to becoming a school teacher he was the leader of a church for years. He had cases out of multiple jurisdictions because they moved when the kids were young. He had been officially charged in one county and they were about to charge him again. After a lot of detective work on our part, cooperation of other family members and ability to show the prosecution that the complainant's story did not make sense, the case that was charged was dismissed and the other investigation was dropped as well.  , 2025
  • Client was 24 years old. Client was being accused of Criminal Sexual Conduct 3rd Degree by two different complainants. The allegations stemmed from when they were all children playing outside in the neighborhood.  They claimed to have been digitally penetrated by our Client. Their claim was 12 years old. Notably, the client had a prior 2nd Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct on his record from five years ago. Our firm was able to show how much his life has turned around since his previous conviction. We supplied the prosecution with documents of the programs he put himself in, therapy and current success in his employment. Ultimately we were able to get the prosecution to not move forward and deny the warrant. , 2023

Other Outstanding Achievements

  • Pro Bono work with a client who wanted us to review his case for a potential Appeal. Typically we would charge a consult fee. He had contacted us while in prison and once he was out, contacted us again, ready to pay for an Appeal. He had been very tough on himself as to whether or not he made the right choice by taking a plea offer or should he have gone to trial. He truly needed advice from an honest law firm who wasn't going to take advantage of his vulnerability. We sat with him for hours. We gave him advice. As a result our conversations with him, we did not charge him. We were happy to have helped clear his conscious and help him move forward with his life. , 2025
