Wade P. Jackman
Top Rated Family Law Attorney in Bingham Farms, MI
An attorney at Jackman & Kasody PLLC, Wade P. Jackman focuses his practice exclusively on family law matters. Based in Bingham Farms, Michigan, he represents clients throughout Oakland County and other parts of the greater Detroit metropolitan area. Admitted to practice in Michigan since 1984, Mr. Jackman is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.
The primary portion of Mr. Jackman's practice involves his representation of people who are facing the end of their marriage and who are grappling with divorce-related issues such as child custody and visitation, spousal and child support, and property division. His extensive experience in mediation and arbitration enables him to help many of his clients come to an agreement on these matters through the use of those alternative dispute resolution methods, but he is a forceful courtroom advocate when litigation is necessary. Other family law matters that Mr. Jackman has handled have included the preparation and review of prenuptial and post-marital agreements, adoptions, and paternity establishment and disputes. He has also helped victims of domestic violence obtain protective orders from the court.
Majoring in psychology, Mr. Jackman attended Michigan State University in East Lansing as an undergraduate, and he received a Bachelor of Science with distinction in 1978. He subsequently obtained his legal education at what was then known as Thomas M. Cooley Law School, and in 1983, he was awarded his Juris Doctor with distinction. Mr. Jackman was with another family law firm before co-founding Jackman & Kasody PLLC in June 2003. He is a member of the Family Law Section of the State Bar of Michigan, and a past president and current member of the board of directors of the Michigan Inter-Professional Association, a nonprofit organization that is focused on family issues.
