Scott A. Goodwin

A seasoned personal injury attorney, Scott A. Goodwin is the owner and founder The Law Offices of Scott Goodwin Law P.C. in Birmingham, Michigan. Mr. Goodwin earned his Juris Doctor from the Michigan State University College of Law in 1986 after completing his undergraduate degree at Michigan State University. He passed his bar examination and obtained his license to practice law before all Michigan state courts in 1986. He is also licensed in the state of Missouri. 

A former president of the Michigan Association for Justice (MAJ), Mr. Goodwin is a recipient of its 2021 "Champion of Justice" Award, one of the highest honors bestowed by MAJ. He is also a member of the Oakland County Bar Association and the American Bar Association. Lawyers weekly inducted him into the Hall of Fame for lawyers in 2024. 

For his high professional accomplishments, Mr. Goodwin was peer-review rated AV Preeminent* through Martindale-Hubbell and “Superb” through Avvo. He was listed among the Top Lawyers in Michigan by DBusiness Magazine and among the Top 100 Lawyers by The National Trial Lawyers. Mr. Goodwin devotes a part of his time to helping clients on a pro bono basis. For about 35 years, he has religiously conducted the “Free Law Day,” where lawyers provide free legal assistance to those who cannot afford them. Through the program, he has also donated free bicycle helmets and smoke detectors.
