Thomas G. McNeill

Tom McNeill is exclusively dedicated to full-time service as a mediator in complex, high value commercial and business disputes, with a breadth that reflects his four decades as a trial lawyer.

Tom is a solo practitioner, fully independent and neutral. He works tirelessly with business decision-makers and their counsel in identifying a resolution that works. He is experienced, creative and persistent. Tom is the only member of the Michigan Super Lawyers Top Ten exclusively dedicated to mediation resolution. He does not litigate or try cases; he does not serve as an arbitrator.

Previously, Michigan Super Lawyers recognized Tom in its Top Ten list as a trial lawyer while a partner, and national Director of Litigation, at Dickinson Wright PLLC, an AmLaw 125 law firm.

Tom McNeill ADR PLLC’s offices are located in downtown Birmingham, with five conference rooms available. Tom prefers in-person mediation; but he also is adept in mediation via Zoom and Teams, if business clients and their counsel so prefer.

Tom is a fellow in the National Academy of Distinguished Neutrals and frequently publishes and presents in the field of mediation best practices and innovation. He has received top peer-review ratings from four national publications: Chambers USA, (Michigan Band 1), Benchmark Litigation (“Litigation Star”), Best Lawyers in America (“Lawyer of the Year” six times in four different commercial litigation disciplines), and The Legal 500.
