Brian J. Farrar

Brian J. Farrar is an experienced attorney at Sterling Employment Law in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. Representing individuals from all walks of life, ranging from executive-level employees to hourly wage workers in the state. He provides comprehensive legal assistance to his clients in matters involving noncompete law, wage and hour violations, discrimination and wrongful discharge lawsuits and much more. With a bar license to practice law in two states in the United States, Michigan and New York, Mr. Farrar represents his clients before honorable judges and jurors in multiple courts throughout these states, including the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Michigan, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court. 

One of his recent notable settlements includes securing a pretrial settlement of $1.46 million for a group of female college professors who had filed a lawsuit alleging both unequal pay and sex discrimination. Coincidentally, this was also one of the biggest settlements for gender discrimination in the country. He has served as lead counsel in numerous cases, achieving remarkable success in multiple ones. 

Before obtaining his Doctor of Jurisprudence from the Hofstra University Maurice A. Deane School of Law in 2009, Mr. Farrar was a student at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in political science and government in 2004.
