Sherri L. Bono

Sherri L. Bono is a Family Law attorney with Bono Legal Group, located in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. With more than 35 years of experience working in the field of family law, she focuses on aiding her clients navigate the paths of family law. Garnering a broad range of experience working with a number of prominent law firms, she extends her practice to the areas of the Detroit metropolitan area and throughout Michigan. She offers diligent counsel and fierce representation in matters concerning:

Laying her formal educational foundation in law at Western Michigan University - Cooley Law School, Ms. Bono graduated with her Juris Doctor Cum Laude with a concentration in litigation in 2017. There, she was a recipient of the Certificate of Merit in advanced legal research and writing, family law, negotiation skills, trial skills, and more. She was also on the dean’s list multiple times. She has a background in criminal justice and political science, which she majored in during her undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan (1993).

Commencing her journey in the legal profession in 1990, working as a paralegal at a private firm, Ms. Bono has worked for more than 26 years in the field before enrolling in law school. Her extensive practical experience working on a variety of legal matters, from family law has helped her build a solid foundation for her legal career and serve her clients better. 

Understanding the uniqueness of each family law case that comes to her, Ms. Bono makes sure to listen to the problems in detail, before crafting strategies that can bring out positive outcomes. Sensitive and compassionate in her approach, in addition to being assertive in her advocacy,  some of Ms. Bono's other recognitions, including being named to the list of the “100 Top Female Lawyers in Michigan” by the Metro Magazine. Furthermore, she has also been awarded a Gold Client Champion badge through Martindale-Hubbell.
