Andrea L. Hamm

Andrea L. Hamm is an attorney at the law firm of Miller Cohen, PLC, in Detroit, Michigan. Ms. Hamm has over 19 years of experience practicing Social Security and workers’ compensation law. She represents injured workers and their families in the Detroit metropolitan area and throughout the state of Michigan.

Ms. Hamm’s personal background and upbringing provided her with significant knowledge and passion for workers’ rights and the labor movement. This, combined with her years of legal experience, allow her to provide extraordinary legal service to her clients and aggressively advocate for their rights in the courtroom when necessary.

Over the course of her career, Ms. Hamm has made significant contributions to the area of workers’ compensation law. She advocates for laws that protect the rights of injured workers and served on the State of Michigan Workers’ Compensation Section Council for 10 years where she rose in the ranks to Chairperson. Additionally, she has been involved in many significant Social Security law cases which have set legal precedents.

Ms. Hamm is active in several legal organizations. She is a member of the Michigan Association for Justice, the American Bar Association and the Workers’ Injury Law & Advocacy Group. She is also involved in the State Bar of Michigan and belongs to the Social Security Lawyers Section and Workers’ Compensation Law Section.

Ms. Hamm received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan and earned her law degree from the University of Iowa College of Law. While pursuing her law degree, she wrote a paper on the Fair Labor Standards Act that resulted in an interview on national radio.
