Hailing from Saginaw, Michigan, Mr. Schulz earned his Bachelor of Science in political science and government from Michigan State University in 2006. He received his Juris Doctor from Wayne State University Law School in 2013 and was inducted into the Delta Theta Phi Law Fraternity. He became licensed to practice in Michigan (2014), the U.S. District Court for the Eastern and Western Districts of Michigan, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit.
While in law school, Mr. Schulz functioned as the president of the Wayne Law Student Board of Governors. He was awarded the Bernard Gottfried Memorial Scholarship for Excellence in Labor Law and the F. Philip Colista Memorial Endowed Scholarship. He is a member of the American Civil Liberties Union of Michigan – Lawyers’ Committee and served on the Institute of Continuing Legal Education’s Litigation Advisory Board.
