As the principal and founder of Ayar Law in Farmington Hills, Michigan, Venar R. Ayar represents businesses and individuals in matters of tax law. His nearly two decades of experience span across tax audits, criminal tax defense, tax liens and levies, foreign bank account compliance, business and personal tax planning, International Emergency Economic Powers Act tariff refund claims and Internal Revenue Service-related matters. He provides quality legal services all around Michigan, ensuring they reach their goals effectively.
Upon graduating from the University of Michigan-Dearborn with a bachelor’s degree in business administration, Mr. Ayar pursued his legal degree at the University of San Diego School of Law. After obtaining his Juris Doctor in 2007, he proceeded to complete his Master of Laws degree, specializing in taxation. In 2008, he was admitted to practice law in Michigan. He is additionally admitted to appear before the U.S. Tax Court, the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Michigan, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 6th and 11th Circuits, and the U.S. Supreme Court.
With a diverse professional background that encompasses more than just legal practice, Mr. Ayar brings an interdisciplinary approach to his practice. He has successfully owned and managed several small businesses, including an accounting and tax preparation service, supermarkets and a hotel. This firsthand experience gives him a unique perspective, allowing him to effectively address and navigate the complex tax challenges faced by entrepreneurs and business owners in today's dynamic market.
His continuous efforts and contributions to the field have garnered Mr. Ayar recognition in the Top Lawyers in Tax Law list by DBusiness magazine. He is an active member of the Taxation Section of the State Bar of Michigan, the American Society of Tax Problem Solvers, the Chaldean American Chamber of Commerce and the Southfield Area Chamber of Commerce.
