Amanda P. Narvaes

A partner at Drew Cooper & Anding, Amanda P. Narvaes divides her practice between complex commercial litigation and consumer protection matters. From the firm's office in Grand Rapids, Michigan, she provides advice and counsel to individual and business clients throughout Kent County and other parts of the state. Admitted to practice before all Michigan state courts, Ms. Narvaes is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Western and Eastern Districts of Michigan.

The types of cases that Ms. Narvaes has handled include contract and other business disputes, copyright infringement and trade secret misappropriation, business torts, and creditors' and debtors' rights.  Her consumer protection experience has encompassed lender liability, Truth in Lending Act violations and cases arising under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. Her successful track record and high degree of ethics have earned Ms. Narvaes the respect of her fellow attorneys, as evidenced by her 10.0 "Superb" peer review rating through Avvo. In addition, she was a 2016 recipient of the inaugural "3-in-10" award, which is handed out annually by the Grand Rapids Bar Association to three of its members who have been in practice for no longer than 10 years.

Ms. Narvaes attended Carleton College in Minnesota as an undergraduate, where she majored in history and received a Bachelor of Arts cum laude in 2000. After obtaining a certificate in paralegal studies, she pursued her legal education at Thomas M. Cooley Law School, where she was an associate editor of the Thomas M. Cooley Law Review before being awarded her Juris Doctor magna cum laude in 2011. Her professional affiliations include the Women Lawyers Association of Michigan and the Federal Bar Association.
