Amanda Van Essen Wirth

Her practice primarily focuses on guardianships and domestic mediation, covering a broad geographical area that includes Kent County, Grand Rapids, West Michigan, and other regions across Michigan.

Her legal journey commenced with a solid foundation in education, earning a Juris Doctor from Cooley Law School with a focus on constitutional law and civil rights, where Ms. Wirth received the certificate of merit for her exceptional performance. Prior to her legal education, she completed her Bachelor of Business Administration in marketing from Grand Valley State University, actively participating in numerous societies and clubs such as the equestrian team and the American Marketing Association.

In her professional capacity, Ms. Wirth has diligently served as a Judge Advocate in the Michigan Army National Guard since 2013. She has notably filed over 800 guardianship and conservator petitions and has represented numerous parties in such contested cases primarily in Kent and Ottawa counties. She previously served as the attorney guardian ad litem in Ottawa County, where she represented children who are victims of abuse and neglect, showcasing her commitment to vulnerable populations.
