Dana M. Constand

As founder of Family Focus Law, Dana M. Constand guides people in Michigan through difficult situations and important decisions. She works with families and individuals on family law matters such as divorce, spousal support, adoptions, parenting time and child custody. Additionally, she has an extensive probate and estate planning practice where she handles administration of probate estates, guardianships, conservatorships, durable power of attorney and patient advocate designations, wills and trusts. 

In 1991, Ms. Constand graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Michigan. She later attended Western Michigan University Cooley Law School, earning a Juris Doctor in 2014.

There is a natural overlap between family law, probate administration, and estate  planning matters. At the heart of these issues is often a person or people who are concerned about their future. Ms. Constand is a wonderful source of information and support throughout the legal process. She equips clients with the resources they need to move forward with confidence. Along the way, she excels at preserving relationships with a future looking focus.

Perhaps one of the most valuable pieces of Ms. Constand's work is her compassion for clients. She recognizes how much is at stake for the people that she works with, and she takes the time to develop a customized strategy for with their best interests and goals in mind. As a complement to her practice, Ms. Constand is involved with a number of legal organizations. She holds memberships with the the Macomb County Bar Association, and the Detroit Metropolitan Bar Association's Family Law Section and the Wayne County Probate Bar Association.
