Robert M. Howard, II

Rob Howard, is an attorney at Cunningham Dalman, in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Mr. Howard practices employment and labor law and handles contract claims, discrimination claims, Fair Housing Act issues and insurance defense matters. He serves clients in Grand Rapids, Holland, and throughout the surrounding area. 

Mr. Howard received a bachelor’s degree in political science from Grand Valley State University. He went on to work for the City of Grand Rapids as a police officer, where he was active in the Grand Rapids Police Officers Association. He later chose to embark on a legal career and graduated cum laude from Western Michigan University Cooley Law School. 

While attending law school, Mr. Howard developed his legal skills and experience by working as a clerk for Bos & Glazier, PLC. He joined the firm as a practicing attorney after passing the Michigan bar examination and obtaining his license to practice law before all Michigan state courts. 

Since beginning his law practice, Mr. Howard has helped many Michigan residents facing employment-related legal issues. Understanding that his employment and labor law clients are experiencing stressful situations, he provides committed representation with personalized strategies for each case.

In 2020, the publication “The Best Lawyers in America” listed Mr. Howard as a labor and employment attorney. 

Outside of his practice, Mr. Howard stays involved in his legal community through participation in several professional organizations. He is a member of the Grand Rapids Bar Association, the State Bar of Michigan and the Federal Bar Association Western District of Michigan Chapter.
