Allison Greenlee Korr

An attorney at Stancati, Hencken & Greenlee P.C., Allison Greenlee Korr divides her practice primarily between family law matters and personal bankruptcy, and her experience has also encompassed estate planning and litigation. Working out of the firm’s office in Kalamazoo, Michigan, she represents clients throughout the greater metropolitan area. She is admitted to practice in both the Western and Eastern Districts of Michigan and holds a certificate as a civil mediator issued through the Michigan State Court Administrative Office.  Allison also holds Certificates in the areas of Family Law and Probate and Estate Planning issued by the Institute of Continuing Legal Education (ICLE) and the Family Law Section and Estate Planning Section of the State Bar of Michigan.  She is also a Collaborative Law trained lawyer.

Many of Ms. Korr’s family law clients are people who are facing the end of their marriages and who are thus having to deal with such divorce-related issues as the division of complex marital assets and debts, spousal and child support, and child custody and visitation. A certified civil mediator, she is often able to assist them in coming to an accord on some or all of these matters through the use of that method of alternative dispute resolution, but she is a forceful courtroom advocate on their behalf when litigation proves to be necessary. Ms. Korr regularly prepares and reviews qualified domestic relations orders, which are necessary when the property division phase of a divorce involves certain types of qualified retirement plans. She also helps clients whose marriages have already been legally dissolved and who are now seeking the enforcement of or modifications to existing parenting and support court orders.

In her bankruptcy practice, Ms. Korr helps clients who have become overwhelmed by their seemingly insurmountable financial obligations or are facing foreclosure. She determines whether they qualify for Chapter 7 or Chapter 13 and thereafter guides them through the process. Her successful track record in all of these endeavors has earned her a great deal of recognition from her colleagues, including a 10.0 “Superb” peer review rating through Avvo. She is a graduate of the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law, a graduate of Michigan State University and a leading member of several professional organizations.
