Anastase Markou

For more than three decades, Anastase Markou has built a distinguished reputation as one of Michigan's most tenacious and principled criminal defense attorneys. An accomplished scholar, Mr. Markou earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Michigan Law School in 1991 and his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan–Dearborn in 1988. He is admitted to practice before the Michigan state courts, the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Michigan, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit and the United States Supreme Court. 

Mr. Markou holds memberships in several esteemed organizations, including the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (life member) and the Criminal Defense Attorneys of Michigan. He has also served as president of the Kalamazoo County Trial Lawyers Association since 2003.
