She has also worked on succession plans that would take effect in the event that a client who owns a business retires, becomes incapacitated, or passes away. 

Ms. Teahan has guided many of her clients through what can often be a lengthy and complicated process of probate, and she has handled will contests and other types of estate litigation. In her elder law practice, she provides advice and counsel to older people and their loved ones on such topics as Medicaid planning and long-term care alternatives. A member of several professional organizations, Ms. Teahan is a graduate of the University at Buffalo School of Law.
