Serving clients in Macomb County and Oakland County, Nina M. Lotarski is an attorney at the law firm of Aloia Law. Her areas of practice revolve around business and commercial litigation; family legal issues including divorce and child custody; collections and creditors’ rights, contract disputes, banking litigation and general civil litigation. Ms. Lotarski also serves as corporate counsel for the Junior League of Detroit.
A 2013 summa cum laude graduate of the University of Michigan-Dearborn, Ms. Lotarski completed her Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and English. In 2016, she earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law in Michigan. For her academic excellence, she was placed on the dean’s list and the University of Detroit Mercy Moot Court Board of Advocates. She also took part in the National Trial Advocacy Competition.
Licensed to practice in all the state courts of Michigan since 2016, Ms. Lotarski is also qualified to appear before the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan and the United States District Court for the Western District of Michigan.
A proficient writer, Ms. Lotarski has written a number of articles and stories on topics related to her field. As a student , she also won the first prize for writing fiction and nonfiction short stories.
When not advocating for the rights of her clients, Ms. Lotarski remains involved in her legal community by maintaining active memberships in professional associations such as the Women Lawyers Association of Michigan and Macomb County Bar Association.
Ms. Lotarski supports a variety of social causes through her pro bono legal work, including her recent engagement as the general counsel for the Junior League of Detroit. While in law school, Ms. Lotarski was the president of the St. Thomas More Society, a nonprofit organization, which focused on fundraising and service for Detroit-based charities, food banks and women's shelters.
