Details
The founder of his eponymous law firm, Thomas C. Rombach has a varied practice that encompasses criminal defense matters and general civil ligation, including personal injury and wrongful death cases. He is located in the firm’s offices in New Baltimore, Michigan, and he represents clients in Macomb County as well as in other parts of the greater Detroit metropolitan area. Mr. Rombach has been admitted to practice before all Michigan state courts since 1987.
Many of Mr. Rombach’s clients are people who have been accused by the state of Michigan of having committed misdemeanor or felony offenses. Some of the charges that he has successfully defended against are driving under the influence of alcohol, assault, theft, burglary and other types of matters, and he has been able to obtain numerous dismissals as well as bench and jury acquittals. In cases where it has been advisable, Mr. Rombach has negotiated favorable plea bargain agreements with the prosecution that have resulted in the reduction of charges and associated penalties.
Mr. Rombach also has a personal injury and wrongful death litigation practice, and in this regard, he represents people who have been harmed due to the negligence of other parties. He has been successful in obtaining significant amounts of compensation in cases involving motor vehicle crashes and premises liability, through jury awards at the conclusion of trials as well as through settlements that he has negotiated with defendants and their insurance companies.
Mr. Rombach has long been active in several legal groups, and he is a former president of both the State Bar of Michigan and the Macomb County Bar Association. His honors have included being the first recipient of the latter organization’s first Distinguished Public Service Award.
