With over two decades of experience, she has taken various cases to trial and also represented clients in numerous cases regarding HOA and condo association law.
As a certified court-appointed mediator, Ms. Ford has helped parties settle disputes and mediated dozens of cases, including real estate disputes and commercial matters. She also currently serves as an adjunct professor at Oakland University, where she teaches on the topics of the legal environment of business. Her class focuses about how laws, regulations and ethical standards shape business operations.
After graduating from Eastern Michigan University with a bachelor’s degree in earth science, Ms. Ford joined Vermont Law and Graduate School to pursue her legal studies. Along with her Juris Doctor, she completed a master’s degree in environmental law in 2003. In the same year, she gained her license to practice in Michigan. She is further admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Eastern and Western Districts of Michigan.
Ms. Ford is a member of the Oakland County Bar Association and also serves as a voluntary mediator at the Oakland Mediation Center. She also is a member of the Business Executive Network Chapter of Business Networking International. Additionally, she was previously appointed to the Character and Fitness Committee of the State Bar of Michigan, and has been on the Board of Trustees for the Oakland Mediation Center in 2021.
