H. James White

Jamie White is an attorney at and the founder of White Law, PLLC, where he practices personal injury law, criminal defense, and civil litigation with a focus on complex mass tort litigations. With his firm located in Okemos, Michigan, he serves clients across the Greater Lansing area, throughout Michigan and nationwide.

Completing his undergraduate degree in criminal justice from Michigan State University in 1994, Mr. White obtained his Juris Doctor from the Michigan State University College of Law in 2000.

Licensed for more than two decades, Mr. White is admitted to practice in all Michigan state courts, the Supreme Court of the United States, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit, and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern and Western Districts of Michigan.

Equipped to handle complex cases in which high-stakes personal injuries and other losses are alleged, Mr. White has acquired invaluable experience in this area of law. Some of his notable cases include those for the 160 girls seeking justice against sexual assault at Michigan State University and the USA Gymnastics sites, mass- and class-actions associated with the Flint water crisis, and the residents affected by the oil spill of the Talmadge Creek and Kalamazoo River.

Mr. White has also secured a global settlement of $990 million. As one of the first attorneys to file lawsuits against Larry Nassar, Michigan State University, USA Gymnastics, the United States Olympic and Paralympic Committee, and other large institutions seeking to hold responsible the perpetrators of sexual abuse and their enablers. Mr. White is prepared to go after large institutions that have allowed prolific sexual abuse to occur, whether its universities, colleges, faith-based institutions, community groups, or any other organization.

A respected attorney in the legal community, Mr. White is deemed a zealous arbitrator and litigator by his colleagues. He is recognized with a “Superb” rating on Avvo, inclusion in the list of Top 100 Trial Lawyers by The National Trial Lawyers and Law 360 Titan of the Plaintiffs Bar.

A member of the State Bar of Michigan, the Davis-Dunnings Bar Association and the American Bar Association, Mr. White holds a position on the board of directors for both the Ingham County Bar Association and the Ingham County Bar Foundation.
