Daniel J. Harris

Daniel J. Harris is an aggressive and competent personal injury litigator serving clients throughout Michigan. In 2000, he established Harris Law in Petoskey, Michigan, to protect the rights of those who have been injured by the poor choices or deeds of another person or entity. In addition to personal injury, he also handles criminal defense matters.

He started out his career as both a public defender and a probate court-assigned attorney, which offered him valuable experience in these fields. He has had two individual jury verdicts upheld by the Supreme Court of Michigan in 2015.

At the Grand Valley State University in Allendale, Michigan, Mr. Harris graduated with a bachelor’s degree in philosophy and communications. He obtained a doctorate in law, cum laude, in 2000 from Michigan State University College of Law, where he was chosen for the Moot Court and Trial Team.

Maintaining a prominent position within his legal community, Mr. Harris is a member of the Michigan Association for Justice and the former president-elect of the Emmet Charlevoix Bar Association.
