Jonathan Jones

Mr. Jones is the owner of Jonathan Jones, PLLC in Royal Oak, Michigan. Jonathan has practiced criminal defense law exclusively since 1995. He represents clients in almost all courts in the the Detroit tri-county area and has handled cases in other states as well. He focuses his practice on criminal defense, handling cases that include violent crimes, drug crimes, weapons possession, domestic violence, sex crimes and federal crimes. He has been the attorney in several high profile cases that have received a great deal of local media attention.

With more than 29 years of experience, Mr. Jones has successfully represented thousands of clients, giving each of them the same excellent representation regardless of the size of the case. Being a sole practitioner is very important to Mr. Jones and sets him apart from other larger firms. Following a successful career in the hospitality industry, Mr. Jones decided to pursue a career in law, graduating from the University of Detroit School of Law  in 1995. He has received several accolades, including the AVVO Clients' Choice Award for Criminal Defense, Martindale Hubbell Client Distinction Award,  National Trial Lawyers Top 100 and Justia 10 Lawyer Rating and 20 Year Community Service Award. He is member of the State Bar of Michigan, Wayne County Criminal Defense Bar Association and the Oakland County Bar Association.
