A long-time member of the Demorest Law Firm, Melissa Demorest LeDuc provides representation to her business clients throughout the state of Michigan. From the firm's main office in Royal Oak, the types of matters that she handles include choice of entity, formation, mergers and acquisitions, employment agreements and disputes, contract negotiation and preparation, real estate transactions, business succession, and executive estate planning. Most of her clients are privately held and include retail establishments, hotels and restaurants, health care providers, manufacturers, golf courses, and construction companies.

Ms. LeDuc is a graduate of the University of Michigan, from where she received a Bachelor of Arts in economics in 2002. She then attended Wayne State University Law School, where she was the senior articles editor and then the assistant editor of the Wayne Law Review before obtaining her Juris Doctor cum laude in 2005. While in law school, Ms. LeDuc also served a clerkship with a judge on the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. In private practice for her entire career, Ms. LeDuc is admitted to practice before all Michigan state courts as well as before the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit.

Active in her community, Ms. LeDuc has served on the board of directors of the Dearborn Area Chamber of Commerce. She has also coached the Varsity Girls Lacrosse teams at area high schools for several years, and she has been named both Volunteer of the Year and Young Professional of the Year by the YWCA of Western Wayne County. She is also active in Primerus, a network of the world's finest small and midsize law firms.
