David B. Mammel

David B. Mammel is a Shareholder and Chairperson of Estate Planning & Administration at Chapman Law Group, where he focuses his practice on estate planning, estate administration, wills and trusts, healthcare powers of attorney, durable powers of attorney, guardianships and conservatorships, tax planning, business succession planning, probate matters, and residential and commercial real estate. With over 30 years of experience, David is committed to helping individuals and families protect their assets, preserve wealth, and plan for the future with clarity and confidence.

His approach to estate planning is rooted in both professional expertise and personal experience. After witnessing firsthand the shortcomings of inadequate legal guidance following his father’s passing, David developed a client-first philosophy centered on compassion, responsiveness, and attention to detail. He works closely with clients to understand their goals and ensure their plans are properly structured, funded, and designed to avoid unnecessary complications.

David is admitted to practice in Michigan and Indiana, as well as in multiple federal courts. He holds a Certificate of Completion in Probate and Estate Planning from the Institute of Continuing Legal Education (ICLE) and the State Bar of Michigan and remains committed to legal excellence and educating the public on estate planning, tax considerations, and long-term financial protection. 

Outside of his practice, David is active in his community and church and enjoys sports and the performing arts.
