    Ms. Spresser focuses her practice on all aspects of Family Law. She has successfully represented clients seeking divorce, change of domicile, child and spousal support modifications, changes to child custody and parenting time arrangements and the termination of parental rights. She is a member of the Family Law Section of the State Bar of Michigan and throughout her career has litigated domestic relations matters in the counties of Oakland, Macomb, Wayne, Lapeer, St. Clair, Monroe, Washtenaw, Livingston and Genesee counties. Lise has been recognized as one of the Top 10 Family Law Attorneys Under 40 in Michigan by the National Academy of Family Law Attorneys in 2014, 2016 and 2017.     Ms. Spresser graduated from the University of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada where she received top accolades in the Legal Studies Program. She earned her Juris Doctorate from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law and she continues to support Detroit Mercy by volunteering as a Judge for Student Moot Court Competitions, sharing her expertise in the adversarial court environment.

    • Ms. Spresser served as a moot court competition Judge at the University of Detroit Mercy Law School in May, 2014. Having graduated from the law school, this was an opportunity for her to return as an alum and share her expertise in an environment where people are looking not only for instruction but also constructive criticism.   A moot court is a competition at law schools in which court proceedings are simulated in an effort to let future litigators and attorneys come to lawful conclusions through oral conversation and arguments. At this particular moot court competition, Ms. Spresser said that alumni come back and help aspiring lawyers in such mock depictions of court rooms and procedure. The moot court competition is typically law students’ first chance to practice as true litigators. Judges also return to the school, joining lawyers on panels that judge litigation skills and attributes. It’s all about helping to inspire., 2014
