Jill Sauber is the founder of Sauber Legal Services LLC in Eden Prairie, Minnesota, where she focuses her practice on estate planning, elder law and related litigation. As a Certified Elder Law Attorney CELA through the National Elder Law Foundation, she provides comprehensive guidance to individuals and families preparing for future care needs, asset preservation and the orderly transfer of wealth. Her work blends proactive planning with strategic advocacy, allowing her to support clients through both preparation and dispute resolution.
Ms. Sauber’s practice covers long-term care preparation, public benefits planning, asset protection, probate and trust administration, and contested estate and trust matters. She represents clients in disputes involving fiduciary conflicts, long-term care insurance coverage and financial exploitation. Her courtroom experience strengthens her planning work, enabling her to anticipate potential vulnerabilities and structure documents designed to withstand challenge.
Ms. Sauber earned her Juris Doctor from the University of St. Thomas School of Law and holds Bachelor of Science degrees from the University of Minnesota in biology, physiology and mortuary science. Before becoming an attorney, she was a licensed mortician – an experience that gives her uncommon insight into the practical and emotional realities surrounding end-of-life matters. This background informs her thoughtful, detail-oriented approach to drafting estate plans that are clear, durable and aligned with her clients’ intentions.
An active leader within the elder law community, Ms. Sauber is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA) and a past president of its Minnesota chapter, and serves on the NAELA Foundation Board of Trustees. Her involvement with the American Bar Association includes leadership within the Senior Lawyers Division and service on the Commission on Law and Aging. She also volunteers with the Minnesota State Bar Association’s Wills for Heroes program and supports organizations assisting veterans and individuals affected by dementia, reflecting her deep commitment to service.
