A 1971 magna cum laude graduate of Macalester College, Mr. Villaume obtained his Juris Doctor from Mitchell Hamline School of Law in 1979. That same year, the Minnesota State Bar Association admitted him to practice, and the State Bar of Wisconsin admitted him in 1984. He is also admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court.
He is a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association, the Hennepin County Bar Association and a former member of the Minnesota Judicial Merit Selection Committee. He also has served as faculty member for the National Institute for Trial Advocacy, The Professional Education Group, at the University of Northern Florida's Institute of Police Technology and Management and the National Business Institute.
